More about me
I'm a Bright, a feminist, pro-choice, a metalhead, and a supporter of GLBTQ rights and animal welfare (not animal rights). I believe that it is great to be alive; that no-one needs religion in order to have morals; that feminism does not and should not equal misandry or female supremacism; that there is no such thing as 'pro-life', only anti-woman; that it doesn't fucking matter what colour your descendants are in 5 or 6 generations' time; that metal is not a pissing contest; and that science is amazing. If you have a problem with any of that, feel free to fuck right off.
I like baking vegan cupcakes, sharing discoveries, Scrabble, orange things, bottom jokes, Magic: the Gathering, making things from wood, dinosaurs and archosauromorphs, World of Warcraft, cyberpunk, and I want to be a transhuman because robots are cool. I am hugely fascinated and inspired by scientists and musicians. Metal is my main passion, and I also love psytrance, EBM, breakbeat, and drum&bass. I only love music with punch, with drive, and music that sounds as though it was fun to make. I fail as a Briton because I don't like tea. Give me coffee any day.
About my work
My camera is a Canon EOS 400D. I call her Fuckshutter, and I take her around with me a lot. I normally use a EF100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens with her; otherwise I use the kit lens.
As a metalhead, I've always been interested in monsters and demons. My artistic influences and inspirations include Rob Zombie, Kazuma Kaneko (Shin Megami Tensei), John Kricfalusi (Spumco), as well as countless videogames, musicians and their sleeve artists, and great artists I've met online. I am fascinated by artists who combine maths and science with their work, such as Ernst Haeckel, Bridget Riley, and M C Escher.
I have two blogs: Graphicl and Rubbish Pixels.
